Contents Page.

  • There are two sections to this contents page. The top half is filled with three images and the bottom half names 'contents'. There are three columns of the contents. The third column is a advertisement of the article '50 greatest records of all time' This is directly in the middle which we could assume that it is important. The colours used for this is gold, white, red, black, which are normally seen as quite royal colours.
  • I think that the target audience for this would be around 47-65. I think this because the article '50 greatest records of all time looks quite vintage, which could suggest that the magazine was made for the older generation, and there is a article on opera which is typically aimed at older people. Also the language used in the contents page is quite formal, which again could suggest that it was targeting the older generation. I think that the gender that was aimed for was both female and male. i think this because he colours used are quite neutral.
  • The language used in the contents page, such as 'A month in music' 'on your Christmas CD' etc. This could suggest that the magazine was made near Christmas. which could explain why they have used the 'traditional' colour red.
